After the upgrade. Your tablet should have at least 8 to 10 or even 12 hours of standby time and a minimum of 3 to 5 hours when using wifi, brightness 60% sync/background ON.
OK Before anything else
This Batteries may cause fire and explosion if miss handled or not done properly.
I am not responsible for any injuries , lost of property, unit damage even death or any direct, incidental or consequential damages of any kind.
Assume that you already know how to take apart your tablet.
Relocate your Wifi module as shown in the picture below.
I suggest purchasing two identical batteries and ditch the old battery that came with your tablet.
You can order the batteries Here http://www.waistopinoy.webs.com/
This is not that im advertising but they do have the spear parts for my apad.
In my case, the stock battery is larger in size than the one i purchased. But both the stock and new batteries have the same specs, 7.4Volts and 1800 mah.
Place the new battery on top of the old one. Find the center of the tablet and place it there.
note that never to remove the safety cover on the baterry wires until you are ready to solder.
Solder the red wire first
Do not remove the black wire safety cover until you finish soldering the red wire.
A diode near the red wire terminal is in a positive charge, avoid hitting it with the soldering tool. Hitting it will create small sparks and may damage the stock battery.
As you can see, the black wire safety cover is still there while i was working on the red wire.
Agian, completely drain the stock battery before anything else.
Now solder the black wire.
This is what it should looks like.Do not charge it yet.
Observed the battery for any signs of bloating, ballooning sudden rise in temperature, heat, burned smell for at least 15 to 30 minutes.
Now charge the battery to Full while the back cover of the tablet is still open.
And while charging, continue observing the battery for any abnormalities.
Never leave a charging battery unattended.
Charging time should now be at a minimum of 3 to 4 hours.
If abnormality do occurs, de-solder both batteries and use a electrical tape to secure the terminals of the battery. Then put it on a fireproof place like concrete floor, fireplace, ceramic jar..... Then after an hour or two dispose the battery properly.
After fully charging you battery (red light indicator turns off)
continue observing the battery for any abnormalities for a moment before assembly.
Optional: use glue gun for more protection from dislodge. This optional step can make you have a peace of mind.:)
Assembling it the right way
This part is mostly where you can easily break/crack your touch screen panel. The touch screen can easily break. so becarefull.
When inserting the device in the back cover correctly, it should snap in place easily.
If you experience difficulty on inserting it back you are doing it wrong, DO NOT FORCE IT .pull it out and inspect the battery if you place it center where the center of the back cover has the largest place. "Thats the reason why you have to put the battery as center as posible."see step 2".
